We are currently experiencing an issue with some of our virtual servers, initial investigation indicates this is due to a storage issue.

We are working to restore service as quickly as possible and will post further updates here as we have them.

UPDATE 15:30 - There was an issue with the storage volumes on one of our SAN controllers, these have now been put back online and we are restarting affected customer servers. This process may take a while but all servers should be back online soon.

Storage issue affecting some virtual machines

We are currently experiencing a storage issue that has caused a small number of customer virtual machines to become unavailable. One of the disk groups on our storage network has become full unexpectedly this evening, causing the storage to go offline for some customers.

We are currently working to resolve the issue by bringing the affected disks back online and restarting the affected virtual machines.

We will also be investigating the underlying issue and improving our monitoring in due course to ensure that this situation will not reoccur.

Issue with Sending and Receiving email on Cpanel01 (Shared Hosting)

We currently have an issue with sending and receiving email on one of our shared hosting servers. We are looking into the issue now and will provide updates here as soon as we can.

Update 14:09: We believe we have now fixed the issue which was to do with sender verification not working correctly. You email should start to be sent and received again in the next five minutes or so. If you do have any issues after this time, please phone our support team on 03333441270

Migration from Leading Edge Hosting Systems

This is advanced notice that at 3pm on Friday 8th Feb we will be turning off the Leading Edge Hosting system which Include ns1.leadingedgehosting.co.uk and ns2.leadingedgehosting.co.uk name servers. This will NOT affect those with VPS's on the Leading Edge platform.

Scheduled Maintenance: XenServer Upgrade

In order to support new operating systems, deliver new features and in preparation for a forthcoming storage migration, we will be upgrading the XenServer hypervisor that powers our primary site virtual server environment at this time.

All virtual machines will require rebooting to complete the upgrade, but disruption should be restricted to a few minutes as virtual machines will be migrated between hosts as the upgrade progresses. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Planned Maintenance of cPanel Servers

We will be restarting the cPanel servers tonight around 11pm to perform several maintenance tasks of the servers.
The outage will last a few minutes but problems connecting to websites may be experienced between 11pm and 11:15pm.

Intermittent Hosted Exchange Connectivity

We are currently experiencing an issue with intermittent connectivity for our hosted exchange customers. All other customers are unaffected.

We are investigating the problem and will be providing updates on this site.

Update 13:09pm: This is only affecting hosted exchange 2003 customers.

Update 16:27pm: We have now determined the reason for the recurrence of the intermittent connectivity issue and have put a suitable corrective solution in place.

Scheduled Maintenance: VPN appliance software update

We will be performing scheduled maintenance during this window to upgrade the software on our VPN remote access appliance in order to support new client software. Only SSL VPN remote access and secure file transfer services will be affected, and not production web or email traffic.

After this maintenance is complete clients will need to update their software, which should happen automatically for clients with local Administrator rights when logging in through the web interface.

Email issue

We are currently experiencing an issue with outbound email where customers who used to be with Leading Edge Hosting are seeing some of their outgoing email bounced back.

This is because the IP address range used by the mail servers for these customers has been incorrectly blacklisted by Spamhaus. The blacklisting is unrelated to us and Leading Edge and we currently have a ticket open with the upstream provider who are resolving the issue and determining why the IP address range was blacklisted unnecessarily.

Emergency Maintenance: MySQL update

MySQL and web services on our main shared hosting server, cpanel02, are currently unavailable whilst we complete an emergency security update to MySQL. This should be completed in the next few minutes and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this essential maintenance.
