XenServer Upgrade

During this Window we will be upgrading the XenSever hypervisor software that powers our virtualisation environment. We will utilise the XenMotion funtionality during this window to move virtual machines between hosts, but the environment is at risk for the duration of the window as we will have reduced redundancy and the upgrade carries a small risk. The upgrade is necessary for us to install security updates and to support new operating systems such as Windows Server 2012 R2.

cpanel02 MySQL upgrade

During this window we will be performing scheduled maintenance to upgrade the MySQL version on one of our shared Linux hosting servers, cpanel02. During this window websites may be temporarily inaccessible for short periods. The server will also be restarted to install kernel updates.

Firewall software upgrade

VPN Software Update

We will be performing scheduled maintenance in this window to update the software on our SSL VPN appliance. During this time SSL VPN services will be interrupted for around 20 minutes. Web and email services will continue to function as normal. After the upgrade is complete users will automatically download new client components as part of the login process, which may make the first login after the upgrade take longer than normal.

Scheduled Maintenance: SSL VPN software update

During this period we will be performing a software update of our SSL VPN platform in order to provide enhanced browser support. All SSL VPN services will be unavailable whilst the upgrade is carried out. After the upgrade is complete, clients will automatically download the latest software components, which may cause the login process to take longer than normal the first time the SSL VPN is used after the upgrade.

No other services will be affected. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Migration From Leading Edge Hosting to Network EQ Infrastructure

Any Domains, Websites and Email that has been stated to be moved between the 20th of December and the 26th December has been postponed to the 27th and 28th Dec due to a backend issue with MySQL. We took the decision to not move any more websites until this was resolved and whilst the MySQL issue has been resolved, we will be taking precautionary measures in the moves of the accounts in the next few days.

Scheduled Maintenance: VPN appliance software update

Scheduled Maintenance: VPN appliance software update

We will be performing an upgrade of the software on our SSL VPN remote access appliance at this time. Customers who use this service will not be able to log in during the upgrade, and may need to update the VPN client components on their computers after the upgrade is complete. Other services will not be affected.

This upgrade should resolve an issue some customers have seen in relation to SSL certificate chain verification.
